Description
AIM OF THE LORRY MOUNTED LIFT TRUCK (HIAB) TRAINING COURSE:
This course is designed to train and assess operatives in the safe operation of Lorry Mounted Lift Trucks (Hiabs) and site safety while using the equipment, in addition to carrying out the pre-start and stop checks before and after use.
COURSE OBJECTIVES:
This course will update candidate’s basic knowledge of health and safety awareness. It will ensure that they operate at a significantly lower risk to themselves and others through the understanding of safe work practices.
COURSE REQUIREMENTS:
Lorry Mounted Lift Truck (Hiab) Training Course candidates will require previous experience and must be able to certify that they are physically fit and have no medical conditions that might prevent them from attending this course. Delegates should be able to write and speak in English. Safety equipment will be supplied by your trainer.
COURSE SUMMARY:

- Accident Report Systems
- Defect Report Systems
- Personal Protective Equipment Regulations 1992
- Safe Use of Lorry Mounted Lift Trucks
- Site Safety (Ground Conditions)
- Lifting appliances and lifting gear
- Theory exercise
- Practical exercise
CERTIFICATION:
Card & Certificate of Competence, valid for 3 years before renewal
